Overview

As a Project Planning & Program Coordination you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Will be taking supporting IIS (4-500 trials) and Managed Access portfolio
  • Responsible for providing insight and information to the leadership team/Global Operations Head within Medical Affairs  
  • Will provide data on the demand (FTEs)
  • OOPS (out of pocket spending) and FTE support
  • The role will be focused on the FTE side (costs)
  • What is the demand?
  • All of the planning and setting the dates to enable studies to move forward
  • Will have to articulate budget vs. budget commentary for shifts and changes in the portfolio
  • Will have to articulate budget vs. actuals
  • Will have to articulate actual spend vs. the forecasted spend
  • There is steep learning curve. 

Medical Affairs Space

  • Clinical trials
  • IIS trials
  • Managed access trials
  • Clinical development
  • They do not expect anyone to come in and know it (about a 6-month training period)
  • Will be working autonomously on their portfolio
  • Not on day 1 but there is an expectation of ownership
  • There will not be micro-managing after the person is up-to-speed (6 months)

Qualifications

  • US based – East Coast
  • Undergraduate degree a must
  • Business analyst knowledge/degree helpful
  • Project Management knowledge/degree helpful
  • Good sense of
    • Prioritization
    • Navigation
    • Time management
  • Finance competency/knowledge is helpful (not financial modeling)
  • Able to plan and organize
  • Detail oriented
  • Analytical
  • Able to take on a lot of volume
  • A lot of little studies
  • Needs to have an understanding of out-of-pocket costs and the scope of a portfolio
  • Confidence in speaking and coherent way

 

IT Experience

  • Planisware and/or Microsoft project
