Responsibilities

What you will be doing: 

 

  • As a Program Manager, you’ll be a member of the Oncology Companion Diagnostic Unit (CDU). Your objective will be to ensure that innovative companion diagnostic tests are delivered to oncology drug development projects. Drawing on extensive expertise and personal experience in companion diagnostic or in vitro diagnostic development you will ensure the adoption of Precision Medicine approaches within the sponsor’s business. You will also provide leadership and support to ensure delivery of a diagnostic strategy.
  • As a Program Manager, this will entail developing and implementing the diagnostic strategy agreed by the respective clinical development teams, and planning and leading Precision Medicine activities from a technical, operational, financial, risk, and regulatory perspective.
  • Collaborating with our diagnostic partners will be a key activity requiring teamwork, adequate oversight and appropriate transparency.
  • You will work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels in the Precision Medicine function to deliver this expertise to drug development and clinical project teams.
  • Your role will also involve providing expert advice on strategic and innovative Precision Medicine approaches and companion diagnostic developments to development teams, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that we adopt world-class practice in the field.

 

Qualifications

You are: 

 

  • PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant subject such as biological, biochemical, molecular, genetic sciences.
  • Experience of companion diagnostic tests or patient biomarker, selection or enrichment tools.
  • Experience of Precision Medicine approaches and diagnostic development within the Oncology therapeutic area.
  • Effective communication, stakeholder, influencing skills and program management required.
  • Significant understanding of the activities involved in companion diagnostic development and how they contribute to achieving successful diagnostic submissions and approvals.
  • Significant previous experience in a similar role in different companies preferred.
  • Delivery of companion diagnostics, with associated global regulatory interactions preferred
  • High quality scientific expertise in the field of biomarker / in vitro diagnostic development, Precision Medicine or relevant therapeutic area as evidenced by publications preferred.
